Easter Sunday

It's a good thing that Easter Sunday isn't about waking up to a basket full of candy in the morning...
because I woke up to food poisoning, and spent my morning throwing up and laying in bed.

It's a good thing that Easter Sunday isn't about looking cute for church...
because I only went for the last hour of church, and I hadn't even finished doing my hair.

It's a good thing Easter Sunday isn't about a big meal with family...
because I ate a can of soup for my dinner, and then I chilled at my apartment alone, since all my friends were out of town or with their families.

It's a good thing that Easter IS all about celebrating our Savior Jesus Christ and the Atonement that he performed for us. It's about being grateful for the peace and mercy that He offers us.

And it's good that this is what matters, because I was able to spend most the day just reflecting on the Savior, feeling overwhelmed with love, and it was probably one of my best Easter Sundays ever. And I'm not kidding.
