I guess I didn't write for a long time because nothing that I wrote was turning out, and I was frustrated, and it was just really lame.
I spent six hours alone in the car last week driving back to Provo, and I was super introspective about life... plus I listened to the Killers basically the entire time (#obsession), and poignant phrases of lyrics kept weaving in and out of my brain. And then I started thinking about how I wanted to be a super intelligent writer, and craft beautiful, thoughtful prose all over the dang place on this blog, and how I was going to turn into an intellectual giant.
token inspiring picture of my drive.
Then I tried to write some posts based on my thoughts, and they turned out like crap. SOOO.... to transition, I am going to talk about bathrooms today. (naturally.)
ha. ha. I came across a beautiful website the other day entitled BYUbathrooms.com. This may seem strange to some, but any experienced BYU campus dweller will tell you that on an average day, a BYU student traverses far and wide, and knowing bathrooms is part of survival. In fact, I probably know the location of every bathroom in the majority of the buildings on campus (minus the super low-key buildings that fly under the radar, such as the facilities building, where apparently they keep keys).
When I am walking across campus, at any given longitude/latitude, I could instantly give you the three closest bathroom options, and then rank them according to cleanliness and accessibility, and hourly traffic patterns. GET AT ME.
The reason I am telling you this (purpose, Amy, purpose) is there was a post about the super confusing bathrooms in the JFSB basement. On one end of the hallway, the girls bathroom is on the LEFT, and on the other end, the girl's bathroom is on the RIGHT. Confusing right??? It made me validated as a human being, because those are the very bathrooms I encountered when I walked straight into the boy's bathroom last year and saw a man blowing his nose!!!! If you haven't yet read that story, I encourage you to do so. I enjoy humiliating myself.
And now that I have thoroughly given away any and all of my credit as a poignant writer, I bid you adieu.
PS: Thanks for still being my blog friends!
