Best Western Birthday Surprise.

Last Friday was Sarah's 19th birthday! She has the beautiful experience of always having her birthday on or around the first day of school. This year, it ended up on the day she was going to move into her new apartment!

I wanted to make sure her birthday morning was awesome, since she was going to drive to freakin' Utah the night before and wake up in a Best Western on her b-day.  duh, it had to be good.

and it was!

I present: 

How to Surprise Someone on their Birthday Morning By Decorating a Best Western Hotel Room:

1. Pack a ton of balloons, streamers, and masking tape in the very bottom of your suitcase. Cover with underwear.

2.  Make sure to claim the bed closest to the door, so the birthday girl is forced into the other bed with more room to decorate!! (yes, I really thought this through)

3.  Go to bed somewhat early.

4.  Lay awake ALL NIGHT.

5. Finally just get up at 5 am.


6. Sit on the nasty bathroom floor in your pajamas and blow up a bunch of balloons. (put in the tub!)

7. Remember how much you love your sister.

8. Stand over your sister's bed like a creepy person and spend what seems like hours holding your breath to listen to her breathing..... creeeeeepy.



9. Stand on chairs and precariously hang streamers over her sleeping body in the pitch black room.


10. Repeat a bunch of times with other streamers.

11. Almost have a panic attack every time she moves in her sleep.


12. When she rolls over rapidly, jump off chair and assume fetal position at foot of bed.

13. Restart heart.


14. Sleep!

15. Wake up in BIRTHDAY CENTRAL! yayyy!
