It's been five weeks since my knee surgery, and what an interesting five weeks is has been! Actually, what an UN-interesting five weeks it has been, if I'm being accurate.
I guess my surgery was a little bit harder to bounce back from than I was expecting. It was hard to do much of anything productive on crutches, and even trips out of the house were limited because my legs felt too tired to walk very far, or for very long. So I just kind of lounged around for three weeks.
Then, out of nowhere came the sinus infection from hell, closely followed by the respiratory infection from hell. (They were both from hell.) I spent two weeks being sick and feeling miserable, and the effects still linger. (I'm on my second course of antibiotics, because the first ones didn't help.)
Long story short, I've became somewhat of a hermit! And it is not cute. Much of the last five weeks have been spent in pajamas, rocking the top-knot. Makeup has become a thing of the past. Social interaction has been a rarity. (Do I even have social skills anymore? I'm not even sure. I'll need to test it out sometime.)
If I continue on my current trajectory, I will probably be a loser, living at her parents house forever, thinking about her lost potential while watching Netflix in her pajamas. I guess that's why I'm trying to shake things up and jump back into some kind of normal life. And then my mission.
Watch out, real world. Amy is coming back! She kinda forgot what the real world is like..... but she's coming back anyway!!
