Announcement: after LITERALLY 10 months of wanting a different blog header but having zero idea how to accomplish it (yes, since this blog began...), I finally figured out how to do it. How did I finally figure this out after almost a year of hating my ugly blog? I googled: HOW TO DO YOU MAKE A BLOG HEADER.
I'm not a college student for nothin' people. I is smart.
I am hoping maybe now blog visitors won't shield their eyes in disgust and click away quickly and may actually stick around and become a reader! Because I love readers. And I love blogging. Maybe even a little too much. What can I say? I'm a writer at heart. Blogging is a fun world to be a part of. Also great for stalking random strangers lives.
Second announcement: you may have noticed that about a week ago I introduced a new shiny feature at the bottom of each post on which you can click "love it," "like it," or "meh." Don't feel like commenting? Do it any way! Do you only have one finger so you can't type? Then I understand... you can just click a response! I love feedback. When I get feedback, I know when my posts are really lame, and when they are really good, and then I can write accordingly! Cool? cool.
Last but not least, I'd like to share an interesting bit of "Happily Ever Now" news from a few weeks ago. Some of you may remember my post, "The Tale of an Elevator and a Star Quarterback" in which I related the story of sharing an elevator with BYU quarterback Jake Heaps and his girlfriend while also carrying a box of books heavy enough to destroy me. Well, guess who found that post and commented? Jake Heap's girlfriend! She was very kind and even told me that I didn't make a fool of myself. Good to know. I tried and succeeded. Also a good lesson for bloggers everywhere: you never know who will find what you write! So if in doubt, be kind. Actually, be kind in general. Mmmkay.
And now, since this post is literally a very random blog post ABOUT my blog (lame, I know... you can throw stuff at me later), now is the perfect time to welcome any general blog comments or suggestions: layout feedback, story requests (I know some of my friends know some preeetty embarrassing stories about me), tips for me on how to share my blog better, vicious hate mail.... write away. Your whole blog is really pretty...I feel kind of weird and just realised we use the same blog post header font thingy-me-jig.
Ooooh yeah I really learned to watch what I said after I read someone else's blog in which they talked about their husband's armed robbery attempt o.O - their post soon disappeared but I thought "wow, are people really that open about these things?"
And it surprised me that ANYONE would read what a 20something Scottish LDS married woman with child would have to say but surprisingly my readership has grown - which scares me a little.
I think you should do a blog swap with someone...say a 20something Scottish LDS married woman with child? Haha! Just kidding...but you know if the idea sounds cool I'm more than open to it. I've seen people do blog swaps before and it works out pretty well.
